Plasma Physics (struttura)
- Brief description
The group is active in the theoreritical and experimental study of the collective behavior of plasmas. The focus is in particular about the properties of non-neutral plasmas and the non-linear phenomena that are observed there, such as instabilities, formation of coherent structures and fluid turbulence, with implications in other fields of physics (sources and accelerators of charged beams, confinement and antimatter properties, nuclear fusion).
The activity is carried out both locally and within national and international collaborations.
