AUGER experiment (struttura)
- Brief description
-
The Pierre Auger Observatory (PAO) is an international observatory for cosmic rays that has been designed to detect ultra-high energy rays. These consist of subatomic particles (protons or nuclei) having energy around 1020 eV. This observatory is the largest detector of ultra-high energy cosmic rays in the world and is located in the wide plain of Pampa Amarilla in Argentina.
