Theory of complex fluids & materials (struttura)
- Brief description
-
Theories and computational methods are developed to bridge the gap between the atomic and molecular dynamics in real fluids and materials and the emergent macroscopic behaviour, with a focus on disordered systems and mechanical/electronic properties.
Research projects are currently focusing on atomistic description of mechanics of complex soft matter (polymer materials), theories of phonons and other vibrational excitations in amorphous materials, theories of superconductivity in amorphous materials as well as anharmonic crystals, theories of pair correlation function in complex fluids (colloids etc) and plasmas under shear flows. - Research group
